"Download All" Button for the website

Amy from our old suggestion board stated that she would like to be able to press a single button that would allow her to download all files on the website.


(Note: you can use our express app to currently download all)

A download all button has been added to the recipient page. This will zip together all of the files and download them in one batch!

We recently upgraded our account to the pro and share folders with our clients so they have the capability to download only however we very quickly recevied numerous complaints about the system. When our clients login into the folder for instance there may be 8 photos inside they have to click and download each one seperate! There is no option for them to click and download all if they choose. It seems like it would make sense to have both available so they can get what they need the easiest... Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Yes, I agree that we should have a download all button and we are working on this. We should have a solutioun pretty soon to accomidate this.

I found this while searching fro the same option...we had a client send us 390 files!

Jeff P suggested that in the Folders section of the web app, one should be able to multi-select Files and folders to download, as well as multiselect Folders for sharing.

We continue to see the multiple file download requests without much happening. I'm considering moving to YouTransfer as they have this problem solved. What seems to be the big problem?

I had the same issue with a client sending me 150 files. I downloaded the 'Express' desktop version, and that gives you the option to download all in one go.

We are still working on an option to have a "save all" from the web.  In the meantime you can use the Express app or if you are recieving multiple files you can save them all to the cloud in one click from the email and then with our Desktop Sync app they will automatically sync to your desktop :smileyhappy:

correct me if I'm wrong, but getting the multiple files via the desktop app only works if the receiver has read/write options. If they only have read options, the folder will not show.

I agree - This is ridiculous - I have to move only one file at a time? Please tell me this is not true.

I'm sorry, how is this "solved" exactly? Client said he had to download files individually, and I said certainly there's a "download all" button. New to YouSendIt, but sounds like I may need to look for another solution. Appreciate some help.

seriously, no progress on this one?  not sure why this is such a difficult request, especially as i'm cancelling my account at the end of the billing cycle as i'm not going to make my clients download 100 files one by one.

Hi Blake! If someone sends you multiple files at once, you can download them with a single click using YouSendIt Express, which can be downloaded for free here.


  • Once the application is installed, open the application and log into your account.
  • Click Inbox, and you will see a list of all files sent to you that are still available for download.
  • In the main panel, you will see the date of the upload, the sender, and the date the files will expire. In the right-hand panel, you will see a list of files contained in the message. Click on the message that contains the files you wish to download.
  • Click Download.
  • All files in the message will be downloaded to your computer.

Agreed. We need this option too in the standard web-based app. We had a client send us a heap of files and it was so difficult to make sure we'd downloaded everything!!

What if the files aren't "sent" but the folder is actually shared? Can one still use Express to download all?

You shouldn't have to deal with "Express" to download all. It should just be a simple click and start downloading all. I CAN'T believe they don't have this!!!

I completely agree - it is a deal breaker for me too.  Just very cross that I have only just subscribed so will have to wait to move.  Asking clients to download Express is really not an option.

I agree. This needs to be in the web app. Just had some clients send me files via my YSI dropbox and it was a pain having to download each one by one. Glad I discovered the tip about the Express app. But that extra step is a pain. Would be nice to have a download all from the web page where the download links are located.
