When did you start at Hightail?   I started September of 2011 but I wasn't made into a "Real" YSI person until end of December 2011.

 

Where did you work before Hightail?  I can't say, it was VERY top secret!

 

Where are you from? The Bay Area and proud of it!

 

Tell me something I couldn't Google about you: I LOVE video games… Call of Duty, Guild Wars 2, League of Legends… I have every major console and some of the BEST gamer gear because I love it just that much!

 

What do you love most about Hightail customers? I LOVE our customers' sense of humor most.  They may not be too happy at times, but a great majority of them love to laugh and talk while we get everything taken care of. 

 

What was the craziest/ funniest/ out-there phone call you've taken?  Has to be around my first year being here.  A customer who does voice overs called in and said that I should look into them and then began to demonstrate all the different voices she's had to do throughout her years in that field (including a drunken bunny rabbit).  She, like most of my customers, was a total and complete BLAST to talk to!

 

What do you love most about working for Hightail?  The people, both colleagues and customers.  We are an amazing, talented, fun loving group of people and each one of us (regardless of what position we're in) is treated as an equal.  Our customers are also exceptionally talented, adventurous, and fun loving as well!

 

Tell our users one thing they wouldn't think/know we did for fun here at Hightail We have fun days (i.e. PJ day, nerd day, crazy hair day, etc) and huge nerf wars (always need to be prepared and keep a nerf gun close by just in case!)

  

Why did you choose the word "Shenanigans" as the one word that described you?  Shenanigans is such a Fantabolistic word!  I know it means that you're mischievous or up to some kind of trickery (which holds a ton of negative connotation to it), but I believe there's a fun kind of mischief that isn't negative… the playful, loving, prankish kind where everyone laughs until they're in tears.  That's my kind of shenanigans!

When did you start at Hightail?   I started April 2012 as a contractor and became permanent right before my birthday in October 2012. :smileyhappy:
Where did you work before Hightail?  I worked in semi-conductor sales for 2 years, I was a nanny for 8 years, throughout college I was a hostess trainer at Forbes Mill Steakhouse & PF Changs.
Where are you from? I grew up in Fremont, Mission Hills (but went to high school at Mitty in San Jose) & later moved to Los Gatos.
Tell me something I couldn't Google about you: One of the things on my bucket list is to travel to every continent (I have 4 left).
What do you love most about Hightail customers? The diversity of people I speak with every day, being able to relate to our customers on a personal level and never scripted. We are laid back, fun and each of us brings our own quirk to the group.
What was the craziest/funniest/out-there phone call you've had here? 
I spoke to a very sweet woman who used our service for her hypnosis business. She would transfer her recordings of sessions with clients through us. She was telling me about a psychic Doctor named Dr. Peebles who a trance medium channels. I looked him up on Facebook and read about him….it was very interesting….
What do you love most about working for Hightail?  The people are amazing, the days go by and don’t feel like “work” when you love what you do. The perks, lunch Mondays & Thursdays, amazing snacks, coffee, massages, car washes and more :smileyhappy:
Tell our users one thing they wouldn't think/know we did for fun here at Hightail?  Karaoke, balancing contests on stability balls, hula hooping during calls, film music videos, have a floating pet shark named Bruce…and the list goes on.
Why did you choose the word "intuitive" as the one word that described you? I solve problems by bounding between different ideas and opportunities. I remember events by what I read “between the lines” about their meanings, I come up with new ways of doing things; I am perceptive and often see underlying meaning in what people say or do. I try to see the bigger picture and think about future implications of actions.

Meet Shelly in Customer Support!

I remember the first person I interviewed with here at Hightail was Shelly, who just so happened to be the Customer Support Director. She was way funny and definitely put me at ease during the interview process. She literally has a heart of gold and can make anyone feel like a million dollars. Here she is known as the office mom, and we are SO lucky to have her part of the team here at Hightail!

When did you start at Hightail?   I started December 13th of 2010.  

 

Where did you work before? Previous to working at Hightail I worked in Customer Support at a few other software companies over the years!  One you may recognize was called Netscape where I worked from 1996-2001.  I also worked at a little software company called Myers Internet for a few years previous to starting here at Hightail. I took a few years off to become an Esthetician and missed the software and working at an innovative company, so I found Hightail!

 

Where are you from? Born and raised in San Jose, CA

 

Tell me something I couldn't Google about you: I have a twin sister!

 

What do you love most about Hightail customers?  I love how I can take a customer call  and by the end of the call feel I’ve connected with them.  It doesn’t matter where they are in the world or how far away.  It’s ALL about making that connection on each and every call!!!  We have the best customers around.

 

What was the craziest/ funniest/ out-there phone call you've taken at Hightail? I had a customer who was really upset about having troubles sending files, and by the end of the call he was really happy and we bonded. During the call I found out he cleans carpets in the Bay Area and I scheduled him to come out and clean our carpets at my house!  We’re still in contact and my carpets have never looked better!!!   

 

What do you love most about working here? The people I work with are the greatest, seriously.  A fun bunch of hard-working intelligent people who all have the same goal in mind.  To make Hightail the best of the BEST!

 

Tell our users one thing they wouldn't think/know we did for fun here at Hightail?   We have fun days where we dress up! Recently we had ‘Nerd day’ and previous to that Crazy Hair Day.  This is a place where you work hard but truly have fun at the same time. We spend more time here than we do anywhere else. The culture is so important to me and Hightail rocks it!

 

Why did you choose the word "Positive"  as the one word that described you?  You have a choice in life in how you see things. I choose to be positive and feel that whatever you give out will come back to you ten-fold. I surround myself with people that help bring out the best in me and each day I learn something new to help me grow.  Life is way too short to let the small things get you down.

When did you start at Hightail?  
I started working for Hightail back in September of 2012. I didn't even know it was Hightail. When I got hired, I was told that "you'll be working for YSI". I didn'teven know what YSI stands for. All I know is it's about customer support. I just learned it from my trainer. 
 
Where did you work before Hightail?
I used to work as a Customer Service Representative for Sprint for 3 years.
 
Where are you from?
I'm from the Pearl of the Orient Seas, Philippines!
 
Tell me something I couldn't Google about you:
I like cute things! Hahaha! Cute ones, like dogs, cats. Not girly stuff.
 
What do you love most about Hightail customers?
What I love most about our customers is that they are understanding and patient. (In short, those who don't get mad at you because of an issue hahaha!)
 
What was the craziest/ funniest/ out-there phone call/chat/email you've had as a support agent?
The funniest chat I had so far is the customer I had from Korea. He kept apologizing even though he didn't do anything wrong and always put "T_T"(crying) at the end of each sentence. Heehee!
 
What do you love most about working for Hightail?
My teammates! Always has a way to make me laugh everyday. Thanks guys!
 
What do you like to do outside of work?
Hang out with my family and friends. I also like hanging out with my girlfriend and cook different dishes.. food!

Brave! I'm ready to face any challenges that comes my way. (I'm not always ready, but I'm ready! Does that makes sense?)
