Last week I was looking through pictures of our company picnic through my Hightail app on my iPhone. We were sent a folder of the pictures so I tapped “Download” to view some of the photos. I already have a ton of music, videos, and applications taking up space on my iPhone but didn’t realize what little space I had left until I received this notification:
When you download a file or preview a photo from Hightail on your iPhone, it saves the file to the local app cache and takes up space on your phone. As you are tapping on files in the app and viewing them the cache is getting larger and larger. You can find out how much memory your Hightail data is taking up by going to Settings --> General --> Usage
So how do you clear the local cache? Simply log out of your Hightail account on your phone and then log back in. This will reset the cache and free up your phone space.
