About the Ranking System
As a way to recognize community members and your participation, we have established a community ranking system. Your rank status is determined through a broad variety of activities, from passive (log-ins, page visits) to more active (posts, high fives, etc.) engagement. There are no restrictions on who can reach what rank.
How does it help you?
As you participate and rise through the ranks, additional forum permissions will be made available to you (i.e.; ability to upload your own pictures, insert your signature…)
At higher levels, we will grant you exclusive permissions and access into private boards, with an opportunity to be spotlighted in our Community.
What you put in is what you get out
Reaching higher levels requires your input on other people's posts (i.e.: High Fives and Accepted Solutions) as well as your engagement within the Community. Don't forget to give others a High Five when their posts help you, and mark a post as an Accepted Solution when someone solves your question or issue! Hopefully others will do the same for your posts, which will in-turn help you achieve a higher ranking as well. It's a two-way street.
You will start as a Ground Crew member, and slowly work your way up to our most elite status, the Pilot. What's in between? That's for you to find out…
Who's who? You will notice that different ranks are identified by colors and a badge icon . You will also notice Hightail employees and our product managers popping in and around the community every now and then. You can identify them by our signature icon, the hightop:
To kick things off: We are having a contest to see who can give out the most High Fivesduring the month of September. Start browsing through forums and give a High Fiveto helpful posts and articles. We’ll announce the winner & prize at the end of the month!
We've had an active community member, @bubly399 who has been answering posts and offering great product suggestions. He answered a question @john0822 asked about the Hightail Dropbox feature. If John finds this answer helpful, he could mark it as an accepted solution and/or give @bubly399 a high five.
