My friend Molly hosts an event every year called Divas for Life, where she brings together Bay Area singers to perform for a charitable cause. Molly uses Hightail regularly to work with others on her projects, but in this particular instance she wants to share sheet music with her Divas singers through social media. While she certainly could send the sheet music to each singer individually, she would rather post a quick link to Facebook that will prompt the other singers to download the file, all in an effort to save time.
Option 1: Post link once it has been successfully sent
Molly has just sent the file to her guitarist through Hightail but now wants to post it for the singers.
This is what you will see after you have sent a file to your recipient:
From here, you can choose how you want to share it with your social channels.
Add in any comments, tags, or instructions and hit Share.
Option 2: Generate the link from within your Hightail Folder:
Log in to your Hightail account, click the Folders tab.
Click Actions next to the file you want to share on your social media channels.
In the dropdown menu, choose Get Link.
From the Get Link window, click Copy and then hit OK.
Paste link to Facebook, Twitter, blogs, or any other social media platforms*
*Note: Unless you place restrictions on the file using our security options, your link will be available to everyone for download. However, with our Security Return Receipt, you can track how many times your file has been downloaded and by whom. For more information, visit our Plans and Sign Up page.
