YouSendIt Desktop AppThis year one of our main goals was creating features and services that allow users to get their job done in environments they are familiar with. We don’t want to force users to learn how to use a new platform; we want to bring YouSendIt to them, where ever they are. That was one of the key drivers for developing a desktop app for windows.

We built the desktop app with established workflows in mind; such as, creating a folder and dragging and dropping files. Once you have downloaded the YouSendIt desktop app, all you need is open your Windows explorer and you will see the YouSendIt folder in your favorites. There you can treat the YouSendIt desktop app just like you would any other folder.

What sets this App a part?YouSendIt Desktop App New Folder

The best things about this app are that everything is synced automatically with your other devices; you can natively share folders with other team members without leaving the app; and you can edit files without downloading them to your desktop.

Imagine you are working on a presentation deck and you need to be able to collaborate on it with your whole team. First you create a new folder in your YouSendIt desktop app, then drag and drop a copy of the first version into that folder. Next, you right click on that folder and ‘Share using YouSendIt.’ Everyone on your team can now make changes and edits to the document while staying in the cloud. The great thing is you will see the time the document was last updated, and the edits will automatically sync to all your connected YouSendIt devices, as well as your teammates. Collaboration made easy.

The Windows desktop app is now available, but we know there is always room for improvement. Please let me know what you think about the Windows desktop app. You can comment here or on our user forum.
