yOUsENDiTfLAG.pngHightail had an amazing year every aspect. We extended our offering as a content collaboration solution, announcing the ability to share, sign, sync, store, and send your files on multiple platforms anywhere you are at any time. In case you missed all of our news, here’s a quick rundown of some of Hightail’s achievements.

Product Announcements

On December 13th we announced our Andriod mobile app, iPhone/iPad app, Mac desktop app in Beta, and the PC desktop app. We want all of our users to be able to access Hightail on any device at any time, and this is a step closer to that goal.

Company Milestones

We currently have more than 23.5 million registered users, adding about a million new users every month!! We have seen over 32 million unique users interacting with Hightail and have reached more than 500,000 paid subscribers. We also have 98 percent of Fortune 500 companies using Hightail.

Awards

This year we won many awards across the spectrum. Renee Budig, our CFO, won the CFO of the year award for a venture backed company from the Silicon Valley / San Jose Business Journal. Earlier this year we also won an award for the best Infrastructure and Enterprise 2.0 Product in the 2011 Network Products Guide Awards. We also won awards for being the Fastest Growing Company from Best In Biz Award, Deloitte's 2011 Technology Fast 500, and Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal’s “Fast Private” list.

Key Customers

One of our main focuses this year has been to expand our enterprise presence. We have added numerous new customers, but I wanted to point out some of our favorites: BlueScope Steel, Parker Drilling, PDC Energy, Remy Cointreau and State of Alaska.

Partners

We announced our partnership with Yahoo! Mail last January. We developed the ‘Attach Large File’ App into the Yahoo! Mail client. Throughout the year we have updated and added features to allow any Yahoo user to send large files.

This year we also partnered with WinZip Computing, a Corel Company, bringing the power of Hightail's proven platform to ZipSend, WinZip's new file delivery service.

In November we announced that we had achieved a Silver Unified Communications Competency in the Microsoft Partner Network (click link to read more).  We also launched a channel partner program, opening up with PC Mall.

This has been a very fast paced and exciting year for all of us at Hightail. I wanted to thank our customers, partners and the entire Hightail team for making 2011 such an exciting year for us. Happy New Year everyone!
